The Most Precious Time in My Life, C.L.

Time flies. My two years of training are almost finished. Recently I was asked what I gained in these two years. It is hard to answer but I know I am not the same as I was two years ago.

On the one hand, how much I gain in the Full-Time Training depends on my attitude toward it. If I mean business with the Lord, the Lord will gain the ground in me to work in me without reservation. On the other hand, the training is designed in a particular way that provides an excellent environment for the growth of the divine life. Almost every day I attend classes in the morning to know and absorb the truth as much as I can. The process of changing my diet is to change my taste. My appetite is changed too.

At noontime I go to a college campus for two hours to preach the gospel and shepherd students. I learn to be one with the Lord in His feeling and burden for them and how to speak the Word of God to others.

This kind of living gives me a foretaste and inspires me to live such a life for the rest of my life in whatever I do and wherever I will be.

Romans 9:16 says, “So then it is not of Him who wills nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.” In these two years, by the Lord's mercy, I realize everything is out of His mercy. What kind of parents I have is His mercy. For me to hear the gospel is His mercy. For me to be in the local church is His mercy. For me to know God's economy, His plan, is His mercy. To experience God's complete salvation is His mercy. For me to press on in training is His mercy. For me to finish two years of training is His mercy. This realization has saved me from a lot of struggling and boasting in myself. I just can trust in Him and praise Him more and more in every step of the way. Everything I encounter is for the showing of His mercy to me.

The training did some tremendous work in me and laid a good foundation for my Christian life. I do pray the Lord will guard all this deposit and keep me loving Him and serving Him in the rest of my life to help hasten His second coming (2 Peter 3:11-12).
